Following the success of our 2015 edition, we confirm our ambition to set the standard for an annual "Davos" conference on Materials where CEOs of global industrial companies - both materials producers and materials users - will meet and debate with leading academics, policy makers and high tech start ups in the same field.

Like in 2015, we will meet in Nancy in the historical metal & mining region of Lorraine thanks to the support of the local authorities and especially André Rossinot who chairs the Communauté Urbaine de Nancy (CUN).

In 2016, the focus will be on promoting an economic growth more efficient in the usage of materials (in other words why do we need 70 kgs of various materials to produce an IPhone? Or how could we organise to decrease this quantity of materials and still produce an high quality end product at an acceptable price?).

This year, our industrial speakers will be the Chairman of Glencore (Switzerland) as well as the CEOs of Arkéma (France), Morgan Advanced Materials (UK), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Japan), Punto Verde (Portugal), RATP (France), Rio Tinto Minerals (Australia), Saint Gobain (France), Smith Group (UK), Solvay (Belgium), and Veolia (France).

Our academic speakers also come from all around the world: Profs. Sung Ha (Hanyang, Korea), Frank Bournois (ESCP Europe), Eric Fullerton (San Diego, USA), Stuart Parkin (Halle, Germany), Vijay Gurbaxani (Irvine, USA), Hideo Ohno (Tohoku, Japan) and Francois Leveque (Mines Paristech, France) have already accepted our invitation. And we are also proud that top top level executives from Airbus, Larsen Toubro, Peugeot or Nike as well as CEOS of promising start ups of the digital age will speak in our plenary sessions or workshops - see our program. So we look forward to welcoming you all in Nancy on June 9th and 10th - see our registration.
